It is Your Time to Shine!

It is time you stood out rather than trying to fit in!  Let others see your awesomeness!  Believe in yourself and what you have to offer to yourself and others. It is your time to shine. If you are over the age of 55 years and have been living your life according to others needs and wishes, trying to please, keep the peace, running here, organizing this that and the other for others, it is time to re-evaluate your life and look at setting a new course that reflects you, your values, your needs, dreams and desires. I am not saying to up sticks leave your family, friends, job or whatever your life looks like at the moment but don’t wait for some major life event, before you take stock of what you really want your life to look like going forward through mid-life and beyond! It is at this stage more than any other that you will have the time, experience and hopefully the freedom to live life on your terms.  It is a time for reflection and an opportunity to make the rest of your life matter for you.  If you have neglected yourself over the years in the busyness of daily life then it is now time to take care of you and your needs. I found that there is very little scientific evidence that colour makes a difference or has an effect on a person’s behaviour yet it is used widely in branding, sales and marketing.  In several ancient cultures colours were used in therapy and are still used in holistic or alternative therapies today. While perceptions of colour are subjective, there are some colour effects that have universal meaning. Colours in the red spectrum are known as warm colours and include red, orange and yellow. These warmer colours can evoke emotions ranging from feelings of warmth and comfort to feelings of anger and hostility. Colours on the blue side of the spectrum are known as cool colours and include blue, purple and green. These colours are often described as calming, but are also associated with feelings of sadness or indifference. So here is a list of colours and their believed associated effect on human behaviour. Red– Physical represents energy Positive– Energy, strength, warmth, fight or flight, excitement action, energy and speed, attention-getting, assertive and confident, energizing, stimulating, exciting, powerful, passionate, stimulating and driven, courageous and strong, spontaneous and determined.
