You can if you think you can! I was running in the Nerang Forrest this morning. It was quite early but already quite hot! Although I was among the tree,s the air was humid, hot, and the sun rays were filtering through the canopy! There was no breeze and although the track was wide it was steep and very rough so the going was tough! I had been running for about 15 mins and was struggling with the heat and the sheer effort of getting traction on the rough surface! I noticed I was not lifting my feet high enough on occasions and would stumble or slip on the uneven surface! I was thinking how hard and tiring this run was and started to toy with the idea that it was all too much that I would have to walk!!! While I was deep in this thought pattern, I suddenly became aware of the birds singing in the trees so full of joy they appeared not to have a care in the world! As I continued to focus on the birds, I became aware of the trees the different foliage, and then my surrounding came into clear focus! Suddenly I was in a different world where everything was possible, and the Universe and I were one! It was this simple shift in awareness that took me from every step being an effort to everything being possible! My mind and body were in perfect alignment with the Universe, and I knew, at that moment, I was invincible, and could achieve anything I wanted, effortlessly! My feet were flying across the ground hardly touching it, and I had so much energy I knew I was going to make it around the hour long circuit despite the heat and the rough terrain running all the way!! My mind was so clear and focused; I could feel my body responding to its every command effortlessly!! At some point, I developed stitch on my right side but I visualised the muscles relaxing, and the stitch was gone! I could see my limbs moving so powerful and strong; nothing mattered I was one with nature with the universal power it was incredible.
It is in these moments when you know without a shadow of double that whatever you set your mind to, you can achieve! There was no doubt in my mind that I was going to run that whole circuit without a break and finish strong and that is exactly what I did!
